M/W/F
Gettin' Messy. . .

We broke out the face paint this week.  The children really enjoyed looking at their images in the mirror and imagining themselves a bear, a turtle or pretty lady . . .

Another messy activity involved making MUD!  We crunched up some chocolate graham crackers using ziplock bags and blocks and teamwork.

We stirred up some pudding. . .

We added gummy worms and put it all together and ...presto! Edible mud!

The children love cooking together and clearly enjoy the finished product!

This same day, Gunnar and his mom brought in Spider Cupcakes!!
We counted the licorice legs to remind ourselves how many legs spiders have. . .

Another fun and messy treat!

Other seasonal activities we engaged in included painting small pumpkins...

Finding different leaves outside...

And making spiders out of our play dough.  We are learning that spiders have 8 legs, but it is really fun to add as many as you can!

T/TH Fun . . .

We began the week by making spiders out of our orange play dough.  We used straws as legs and counted out 8 for each.  Elliott enjoyed added many more legs!

We also added legs to spiders on paper.  This was good practice for drawing lines from a given point.

We indulged in face painting. . .

The children giggled at a story about three wizards who don't always get along and have very different wands to do silly magic. . .

This inspired us to create similar wands.

We used some glue and glitter to make star, moon and pickle wands.
The glitter was especially fun to work with.

Then Zoe and Camille dressed up too.

We had fun making a messy snack.

We worked together to crunch up some chocolate graham crackers. . .

We took turns stirring up some pudding.

We added a gummy worm and ate our MUD!
